Dilston is a 10 acre campsite situated in an idyllic location in the Northumberland countryside close to the historic town of Corbridge. The Devils Water river that gently ambles through the site is a perfect location for exploring, water activities, wildlife or just enjoying its natural beauty.
The site has a hut with a large internal space and external decking, 2 bedrooms (6 bunks) and kitchen; ample hard standing car park and toilet and shower facilities. Please note – we no longer have ramp access to the toilets due to safety reasons. Access is still available using the steps.
It also has lovely camp fire areas with fixed seating for memorable nights around the fire and can be used for almost any scouting event large or small to 1 night or multiple night DoE expeditions. We are also open to other Youth Organisations and Schools.
We have a great activity partner we are happy to recommend to add an extra special element to your booking; activities available include, Climbing Wall, Tomahawk Throwing, Archery, Air rifle shooting, Water Activities.

2026 Camp fees (coming into effect on 1st September 2025, bookings for 2026 made before this date will be at 2025 prices and will be honoured) are;
£4.50 per person per night – For Scouts and Guides. Building £90 per night (Minimum 2 night booking on a weekend)
£4.75 per person per night – For Schools and Youth Groups. Building £95 per night (Minimum 2 night booking on a weekend)
The camping season runs from 1st April to 30th October each year – bookings can be made at anytime throughout the year.
When booking it will ask you to select a pitch – select any pitch available (they are virtual for the booking system and don’t exist on site) – 1 pitch allows 17 campers so if you have more coming book the relevant number of pitches in blocks up to 17 / pitch e.g. 40 people would need 3 pitches – the site has a maximum capacity of 170 campers in total. If you can’t book an item, it will already be booked for the dates you are trying.
All bookings for Dilston should be made online through OSM when creating your Event or from the Campsite Directory, if you are a Scout Association Section user or by clicking the button below and creating a free online account within the booking system.
Booking are monitored by volunteers, please allow up to 7 working days for a reply to your booking, longer when out of season, but we are normally much quicker than that.
We are unable to accept private/family bookings for camping at the site.
